Thunder Playoff Wins

As most of you probably know, we have season tickets to the Thunder. We faithfully attended game after game, as we got off to our 3-29 season last year. We remember watching loss after loss, and thinking how strange it would be to go to the Ford Center and actually win a game. Well, things have definately changed!!! Thanks to some babysitting from Ursi and Michael (on Thursday) and my mom (on Saturday), we were able to be there for the Thunder's first two playoff victories. The Ford Center was crazy! I have never been to a sporting event quite like this. We've now tied up the series 2-2, and guaranteed another game at the Ford Center next Friday. Go Thunder!!!

Family Pictures for Easter

We decided that we should get some family pictures made before the babies got any older...time definitely flies with these little ones. Easter seemed like a good time, so we got coordinating Easter outfits and went last weekend. It's not the easiest thing to get two 5-month olds out the door for pictures, but we did and were happy that we did. Here were some of our favorites:
The whole family
Brent and Ashley
Tyler and I

Our little buddy - we were absolutely thrilled that we were able to get a pic that captured his smile.

And our little one...isn't she precious?

The Great Grands

We were really lucky at the end of March to get a visit from my grandparents. I didn't take nearly enough pictures, but I thought this one of Grandad holding Athena was too cute!
And here is my grandmother holding Tyler.

As an aside...I grew up calling these grandparents, Grandmother and Grandad Boston. This apparently started when Toby was little, and my parents would show him pictures and say, "That's your grandmother in Boston." Toby shortened it to Grandmother Boston, so that's what we called her. Some might have their meemaw...we had Grandmother Boston. Well, Grandmother and Grandad Boston haven't lived in Boston now for over 10 years, but their name hasn't changed, and each night when we say our prayers with Tyler and Ashley, we ask the Lord to bless "Great-grandmother and Great-grandad Boston." That's a mouthful!

Ashley's Newest "Head Constrictor"

I love putting little bows and such on Ashley. Brent calls them "head constrictors," and is convinced that I'm hindering her brain development. Here's Ashley in her latest...I saw the big flowers and couldn't pass them up.

Alphabet Mats

Brent's mom gave us some little mats that have the alphabet and numbers 0-9 on them. I think the kids will really enjoy them when they are a little older, and they have been nice to have to add a little padding to our wood floors some times. The other day, we spelled our names with them.
Well, actually, I spelled out Tyler and Ashley's names and took their pictures with them. I was suprised by how interested in the tiles the little kiddos were, though.

They both had to pose by the Nyberg, of course.

Spring Break

Last Spring Break, we went to Ixtapa, Mexico with my mom, Toby and Karla. That is where we found out we were expecting. It was such a wonderful time, and I wanted to get something for the baby (or babies). We knew that we had a chance of twins, so we wanted to get two of something, knowing that if we just had one, of course, they would just have two outfits. We tried to look for gender neutral colors, which wasn't that easy, but my mom and I saw these onesies, and thought they were perfect.
Well, when my mom was on Spring Break this year, I, of course, had to dress the little ones in them. Wow! What a difference a year makes!

Seeing them in these little outfits brought back a flood of memories of the excitement of finding out I was pregnant and the early stages of planning for these two little peanuts. What a wonderful Spring Break...both last year and this.

A Day at the Park

It's been gorgeous weather here in OKC, and last Friday my best friend Ursula and I went to the park with our kiddos. Here are two of the pics that I got of the three little ones.
Aren't they such cuties? And, no, it's not a camera trick...both Tyler and Ashley are bigger than little Joy, now.
Just for reference, here's a picture I took right after the twins were born, when Joy dwarfed them. They've certainly grown!!!

Our Little Squirmer

Ashley is hilarious! She rolls and turns and gets herself in the funniest positions. If she wakes up in the middle of the night, it's almost a guarantee that she's not hungry, instead she's wedged her head up against the side of the crib. (Side note: We don't have bumpers on the cribs, because I've read that they increase the risk of SIDS. So now, Ashley bumps her head on the side of the crib and cries. I guess there is a reason why they made bumper pads. You can't win for losing when it comes to safety for babies.)

Anyway, the other day, I had put Ashley in her crib...the middle of her crib, I got Tyler dressed and took him in the living room, when I returned Ashley had wedged herself into the corner of the crib. I had to get out my phone and get a picture. She is so funny!!!

Teenie Thenie

I love this picture of my brother holding my niece. When discussing nicknames for Athena, I suggested Teenie Thenie. Brent does not approve.

Playoffs!!!

The Thunder have clinched a playoff spot, and as you can see from the picture below, their littlest fan is very excited.
Well, this picture was actually taken before they clinched it, but our little buddy is too cute in his Durant jersey, isn't he?
