Casual Friday

It's casual Friday at the Nyberg home, so we are wearing our new blue jeans.

What Santa Brought This Year

When we got Ashley's stocking and saw how tiny she was in comparison, we knew we had to put her in there and take a picture. I know at future Christmases, we will look at that stocking and won't believe that she actually fit in there her first Christmas.

Happy Halloween

As we didn't know whether or not the babies would arrive before Halloween, I had told my mom that if they did, she was in charge of getting them Halloween costumes. Well, as the time got nearer, she was convinced they would be here before Halloween, so she went ahead and picked up these costumes. How cute!

Well, the babies held off until November 1st, so we had to put them in them after the fact to get their pictures. If they had been here, these are the costumes they would have worn for their first Halloween. Instead, they will have to wait a year....just missed it by a few hours.

My How I Have Grown

I can't believe how much my little buddy has grown. He was 6lbs. 5ozs. at birth, lost down to 5lbs. 9ozs., and as of his appointment last Wednesday, he's now up to 10lbs. 1oz. Wow! Here is a picture of him on the day that he left the hospital. I had gotten him a little outfit of polo shirt and khaki pants, and it swallowed him.


We put it on him the other day, and it finally fits...actually the shirt barely made it over his head, and the pants were kind of short. Wow, they grow fast!

My mom just emailed me this picture of me the night before the twins were born. I knew I was gigantic, but even now, I look at this picture and can't believe it. No wonder I could barely get around at the end of the pregnancy...crazy!

Baby Grunt or Prophesy...You Decide

Tyler is a really noisy baby...always grunting. He grunts when he eats. He grunts when he sleeps. He grunts when he's just sitting there. So...a week ago Monday, we had just fed before the Vikings Monday Night Football game. Brent was burping Ashley, and I was burping Tyler, and Brent says to Tyler, "So, buddy, are the Vikings going to win tonight?" And without even a pause, Tyler says, "Uh-uh." Ok, so he didn't say "Uh-uh," he just happened to make a grunt that sounded exactly like "Uh-uh." It was absolutely hilarious...and actually kind of creepy. Brent and I just stared at each other in silence.
Well, if you follow football, you know that the Vikings lost on Monday night, so we are planning to ask him about some more games and put some money on them. ;)

Sitting in My Big Girl Chair

Doesn't Ashley look adorable in her Bumbo seat? Neither of them are too crazy about the Bumbo...about 2 minutes and crying ensues, but I think they look too cute in it.
