Touchdown

Over the holidays, Brent's family taught Tyler and Ashley to say "Touchdown." Here is Ashley as we prepared for the last Vikings game of the season.

P. S. Yes, she is wearing one red shoe. Ashley loves shoes! If she doesn't already have shoes on, if she finds one, she will bring it to you, and insist that you put it on. She particularly loves this pair. Shiny and red, what's not to love?

The Vikings are not having a very good season so far, but it's not because the Nyberg household is not cheering them on. We got Tyler his first Vikings jersey this year...it's adorable, just like the big ones, only tiny.

And Ashley looks adorable in her little cheerleader outfit. When it gets a little colder, it has a matching turtleneck.

We've let the kiddos play with Brent's Vikings helmet from when he was a kid. They love it.

Baby Grunt or Prophesy...You Decide

Tyler is a really noisy baby...always grunting. He grunts when he eats. He grunts when he sleeps. He grunts when he's just sitting there. So...a week ago Monday, we had just fed before the Vikings Monday Night Football game. Brent was burping Ashley, and I was burping Tyler, and Brent says to Tyler, "So, buddy, are the Vikings going to win tonight?" And without even a pause, Tyler says, "Uh-uh." Ok, so he didn't say "Uh-uh," he just happened to make a grunt that sounded exactly like "Uh-uh." It was absolutely hilarious...and actually kind of creepy. Brent and I just stared at each other in silence.
Well, if you follow football, you know that the Vikings lost on Monday night, so we are planning to ask him about some more games and put some money on them. ;)

Finally...the Vikings win one!

After two awful defeats this season, the Vikings finally won Sunday's game. We finally made the change from Tarvaris at quarterback, and even though Gus Ferotte is far from a savior with the help of some good runningbacks in Peterson and Taylor and a defense that can do a little scoring of their own - if you saw the game on Sunday, you saw Winfield's awesome sack, fumble caused and touchdown return, maybe we might win half our games. Ok, that's a little optimistic, but I only said, "maybe." On the bright side, we have been on TV every week so far, and we are scheduled to be on for the next two weeks, so atleast, I don't have to go to a su-par sports bar to watch the Vikings. Oh, the joys of being a Vikings fan! Brent tried to warn me before I married him, but I didn't listen.
