My New High Chair

Rattle Time

Our First Meal

Well, at the babies' 4 month appointment, the pediatrician recommended introducing solid foods, so this last week, Tyler and Ashley had their first meal.
The doctor suggested that we start them in something in which they could recline, so we fed them in their swings.

I gave them their first bites, but daddy took over and had better technique.

By the end, they had both were getting pretty good hang of it.

I can't believe how fast my babies are growing!

Reaching for My Rattle

It is so fascinating to watch these two! Tyler was the first one to really show an interest in a rattle. He holds onto that thing for dear life, loves to chew on it, and pass it back and forth between his hands. Ashley has been slower to take interest in a rattle, but she's just started reaching for it, when you hand it to her.

Tyler and His Jumperoo

Well, our little buddy loves to jump, usually on his daddy's lap. So, a few weeks back I decided that a Jumperoo might be a good choice. I got this Fisher Price Laugh N' Learn, and I warned Brent ahead of time that this thing is obnoxious...just look at this thing...not exactly the kind of decorating style we are going for in our living room. (And we haven't even put batteries in it. Apparently, if you do, when they jump, lights flash and music plays. No thanks.) When we got it, as you can see, Tyler's feet didn't even touch the ground. He still liked it though. He's able to touch now, and has started jumping in it. It's the cutest thing!

Nap With Mamu

As most of you probably know, my grandmother passed away this past December. We were so blessed however that she got to see the twins, if only for a short time. Thanksgiving Day, Tyler took a nap with Mamu on the couch. How precious! I look forward to telling these little ones about their great-grandmother.

You've Got to Be Kidding, Grandpa!

Brent's mom forwarded some cute pictures that she took when the babies were born and over Christmas. I thought this one was hilarious. I'm not sure what tall tale Grandpa Gary was telling Tyler, but he definately was shocked by it. :)
As a side note...this was over Christmas break, and you can see how big that outfit was on Tyler at the time. Well, he outgrew that outfit about a month ago. Wow!
